Jim Cooney
Non-Executive Chairman
Jim is the chairman and majority shareholder of TCI Renewables. Jim co-founded TCI Australia in 1996 and under his direction the TCI Group has become globally one of most successful and reliable technology systems integrators
The TCI Group provides a full suite of services and tailored solutions to dozens of major international clients operating in Australia, North America and Europe. Following TCI Australia’s listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in December 2004, Jim won the prestigious Ernst & Young Australian Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2005.
Jim is a Chartered Engineer of 25 years commercial experience in Europe and Australia, holding a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sydney, a Master of Science from the University of London and the Diploma of Imperial College
Wes Dickson
Non-Executive Director
Wes is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience including international Financial Director and Corporate Finance roles in Australia, Europe and USA. Wes is the TCI Group Finance Director where he works across TCI Group assets including, global investments, renewable energy, wireless broadband infrastructure and property development.
Prior to joining the TCI Group, Wes worked for four years as Vice President, Finance with U.S. private equity firm Callahan Associates, where his experience included Finance Director roles, debt and equity financing, operational portfolio management and transaction work. Wes has also held finance roles with the Virgin Group and KPMG in Sydney and London.
Mark Jones
Chief Executive Officer
Mark has been associated with the energy business for 20 years. Prior to joining TCI, Mark had been CEO at renergys, where he had overseen the successful development of over 400MW of wind projects across Europe, construction of wind projects in France and Poland, progression of one of Germany’s first offshore wind projects and the reorganisation of one of Germany’s largest operating windfarms. Prior to this, Mark had spent eight years at GE, being responsible, amongst other things, for the acquisition and successful development and operation of 200MW of windfarms in Germany. Previously Mark had been at Edison Mission Energy where he had been part of a team owning, financing and risk managing over 4000MW of thermal and hydro portfolios in the UK. Mark began at HSBC Investment Bank, focussing primarily on energy.
Bruce Hutt
Finance Director and Head of UK
Bruce has 20 years experience in corporate and project finance based out of London, New York and Singapore. His last five years have been spent structuring and raising finance, both equity and debt, for renewable energy projects in the UK. Bruce joined TCIR in April 2008 and is responsible for raising new finance for special projects as well as the day-to-day financial management of the company.
Brett O’Connor
Operations Director and Head of North America
Brett is a chartered civil engineer with 16 years experience in the management of construction projects. Brett joined the TCI Group in 1999 and was integral to the company’s growth and success in the UK and Ireland. He was heavily involved in the diversification of the TCI UK business into the renewable energy sector and the creation of TCI Renewables. Managing Director of TCI infrastructure UK between February 2004 and May 2006 Brett transferred into TCI Renewables on a fulltime basis in June 2006 as Regional Director for the company’s operations in North America.
